Nearly Gurgltal in Tarrenz

Living and working as the medieval miners
"Almost Gurgltal" - immersion in the fascination of mining
The region Gurgltal counted in previous years, in addition to Kitzbühel and Schwaz the most important mining areas of North Tyrol. The lead mining, which was operated around the Tschirgant was necessary to extract the famous Schwazer silver. Around the community and in Imst Imst, the ore was mined and processed mostly near the mining site.
The "Almost Gurgltal", which is currently being built at the foot of Tschirgant tells the story of this processing. This is done through the presentation of the medieval Erzverarbeitungstechnik, which ranges from the ore before it is transported to the smelters. The implementation of the faithful reconstruction of buildings, equipment, tools and water power of the medieval ore was accompanied by the University of Innsbruck scientific.
