The mill no longer has traditional milling activity.
It is equipped with a hydraulic turbine, which produces part of the electricity consumed. It is fed by the La Manse river, which can be followed on foot, on horseback or by bike to reach pretty sites such as Crissay-sur-Manse (the most beautiful village in France),
Nearby, the Vienne forms an island in the center of Ile Bouchard, then descends towards Chinon to join the Loire at Candes-Saint-Martin, (confluence) in Saumurois.
