Built in 1870 in neo-classical style, the hotel was opened in 1904 under the name Hotel Molaro. Soon became the favorite residence of artists, writers and noble. The elegant Louis XVI style lounges, large terraces and welcoming environments seem to echo those years in which to enjoy these beauties were the Queen of Sweden and the Kaiser, friends and patrons of the medical writer Axel Munthe.
