A Family run Hotel with a warm and friendly atmosphere to relax and forget the everyday world.  Situated in picturesque Dunster, an historic English village within the Exmoor National Park.  With its Castle looking down on it protectively and the cobbled pavements, it will transport you back in time.

All rooms are tastefully furnished and have en-suite bath/shower rooms, central heating, colour TV and hot drink making facilities.

The Hotel has Four-Poster and Superior rooms for that special occasion or for when you just feel like pampering yourself. We also have several Family rooms according to your needs.  We are Pet friendly so why not bring the whole family along.  We supply Cots and Highchairs, also Dog beds all at no extra charge.

The Hotel has an elegant restaurant serving quality cuisine prepared, wherever possible, using fresh local produce. We offer a wide range of dishes to suite all tastes and special diets can be catered for with advance notice.

The surrounding area boasts some of the most beautiful countryside in England and a variety of local attractions providing endless entertainment for all the family. These include Dunster Castle, a tour of this is a must, and you will not be disappointed.  Dunster working water mill where you can watch the flour being ground then buy some to take home to test your own or friends culinary skills. West Somerset Railway, where a trip on a steam train will remind you of days long ago. Tropiquaria where the children can play pirates on the Galleons, you can all watch the puppet show and see and handle the snakes and spiders.  There is also a Falconry and Animal farm just a few miles away where you can watch the bird displays and handle the animals.  Amongst the places to visit is Doone Valley where the famous book ‘Lorna Doone’ was written, Porlock Hill, the steepest main road in England, the newly developed Watchet Marina and the peaceful private Dunster Beach.

We have been accredited with the ‘Walking for Health’ award for which we are very proud as we are the first, at the moment, and only Hotel to achieve this award. There are gentle accompanied walks available locally for people who are just taking up walking, every Tuesday and Friday.
