SOIL AND CLIMATE
The Piacentini hills are the south-western limit of northern Italy. The vineyards are cultivated in the altitude range up to about 400 meters. Further up, chestnut groves, oak woods and pastures begin. Here the winters are cold and often snowy, while the summers are long, warm and sunny. The microclimate and the quality of the soil are ideal for the production of typical high quality grapes. In the images above, an overview of our vineyards where it is possible to observe a traditional planting layout, with a reduced investment of plants in relation to the surface, an essential condition for excellent quality and ripening of the grapes.
